Cameron Diaz was scared by the kids in Annie after they started a swear jar.
The 42-year-old actress stars in Will Gluck's remake of the classic movie as nasty orphanage owner Miss Hannigan, with Quvenzhané Wallis taking on the title role.
Despite Cameron working with a lot of youngsters she didn't feel the need to change her personality; although that led to the children using her antics to their advantage.
"Look, they are in an adult situation and if they don’t like my language, then don’t f**king show up! And second, these kids learn early," Cameron laughed on Britain's The Graham Norton Show when asked if she had any concessions to working with kids.
"They run a scam and get all the adults scared and they are like, 'You can’t swear in front of me and if you do, you have to put money in the jar because I’m a kid,' and they walk away with hundreds of dollars!
"You can’t even whisper a swear word without them saying, 'You owe me a dollar.' They have a pile of cash when they leave and I am like, 'No, no, no, I don’t play that.'"
Cameron sings as part of her role alongside the likes of Jamie Foxx and Rose Byrne. She has already been praised for her performance but the blonde beauty wishes she had a bit more training before sharing her vocals.
"I love singing but I hate how bad a singer I am, but I try. I would have liked a couple of years to prepare for the role, which is what it required!" she added.
"But, I was surrounded by the best professionals and teachers and they rallied around me and gave me a voice that was usable."
This isn't the first time Cameron has sung on the big screen, having belted out a tune in 1997's My Best Friend's Wedding.
When host Graham reminded her of her embarrassing voice the star quipped: "You have to be able to sing a little to sound that bad!"
Her career is currently at a high, and it seems Cameron's love life is also looking promising. She's been dating rocker Benji Madden since May and new reports suggest the couple are planning to walk down the aisle soon.
“They’ve been telling close friends in recent weeks about their plans, but it’s very hush-hush," a source told The National Enquirer.
