Actress Carey Mulligan is believed to have given birth.

In April (15) it was reported that the 30-year-old star and her musician husband Marcus Mumford were expecting a child together.

And after stepping out to promote her new film Suffragette at the British Film Institute's London Film Festival on Wednesday (07Oct15) showing off a slender figure and healthy glow, it seems Carey is now a parent.

A source reveals to E! News that all is well with the little one and that Carey is enjoying being a mum for the first time.

"Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby," the insider told the outlet. "She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends."

It was only in September (15) that the blonde beauty had to miss the Telluride, Colorado, premiere of Suffragette as she was too heavily pregnant. But on Wednesday she was beaming as she posed for photos in a patterned sweater and clashing print skirt.

She didn't mention her new arrival though, instead discussing the movie with co-star Meryl Streep and director Sarah Gavron. It follows the British women's suffrage movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with Carey speaking about its relevance today.

"It is a film to mark the achievements of what these women did and what they gave us but also to highlight where we are in the world," Carey told reporters during the press conference. "We still live in a society that is sexist and that goes throughout history.

"I knew relatively little (when I was younger). I remember there was a small paragraph in a history book saying 'they got there,' basically."
