Chastain: Zero Dark Thirty was taxing

(Cover) - EN Movies - Jessica Chastain admits that Zero Dark Thirty was “a very stressful shoot.”

The Academy Award-nominated actress stars alongside Taylor Kinney and Joel Edgerton in the action thriller based on the true-life events that occurred during the decade long hunt for Osama bin Laden.

Details about the film’s plot were highly classified and Jessica had to remain mum on project details throughout.

Shooting the picture in very exotic locations often left Jessica spent.

“It was a very stressful shoot. Maybe that's all I should say,” Jessica told MTV News. “It was a very stressful shoot, but how could it not be when you're dealing with that kind of material and you're in that part of the world? We were shooting part of it in Chandigarh, India, which is on the border of Pakistan.”

Jessica also felt burdened by the movie’s heavily historical subject matter.

“It's such great responsibility in the story we were telling,” she explained.

“It was a lot of pressure. I think the script is one of the best scripts that I have ever read, and my part is awesome. I'm excited for it to come out at the end of the year.”

Zero Dark Thirty will be released in the US December 19.
