(Cover) - EN Movies - Chloë Moretz has warned that moviegoers will laugh at “the weirdest stuff” during Tim Burton’s new movie.

The young actress appears as Carolyn Stoddard in the director’s latest offering Dark Shadows, which isn’t out until next year. It’s based on the cult television show which aired during the 60s and 70s and is a gothic tale featuring vampires, ghosts and monsters.

Chloë enjoyed working with Tim immensely and is sure his fans will like the picture.

“It's back to Burton's roots, it's like Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice… fantastical and terrifying, and you laugh at the weirdest stuff. It's back to what he's amazing at: straddling that fine line of camp and drama,” she said.

The 14-year-old actress’ newest movie is the Martin Scorsese-directed Hugo. It follows a young boy who lives in a Paris train station and becomes embroiled in a mystery.

Chloë was so determined to win a part in it she spent her whole audition pretending to be English after hearing Martin wanted to cast someone from the country.

“I heard that he was only really looking at British girls. When I went in I was like: 'I'll do whatever I have to do to be in this movie,’” she told British newspaper The Guardian.

“I think I told him I was from Cambridge.”
