Chris Evans feels like he's attending a "high school reunion" when reunited with his Avengers co-stars.

The 33-year-old actor reprises his role as superhero Captain America in the franchise's hit sequel Age of Ultron, with other stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner returning as Iron Man, Hulk and Hawkeye respectively.

When quizzed on what the cast most look forward to before filming, Jeremy revealed he gets excited at the thought of seeing his "degenerate" pals again - a notion Chris backed up.

"I'll say similar to Jeremy. Marvel does a good job of bringing the same people together, not just in front of the camera, but behind the camera, so coming back together as a group, it's kind [of like] family, it's a lot of familiar faces... It's like a high school reunion or something," he told Cover Media at the film's London press conference.

Mark shared that he anticipates director Joss Whedon taking them into his own "twisted psyche", while Scarlett Johansson - who stars as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow - enjoys reading the script, describing the process as a "big pay off".

However, newcomer Elizabeth Olsen went in another direction and answered: "I get most excited by cooking and eating."
The 26-year-old quickly realised she misunderstood the question, much to the amusement of her co-stars.

Conversation then turned to the stars' inspiration while growing up. Fellow Avengers newbie Aaron Taylor-Johnson named Gary Oldman as someone he looked up to, whereas Scarlett cited Patrick Swayze's performance in Dirty Dancing.
Chris took things to a personal level though.

"I was gonna go a different way, I'm gonna say my old man, awwww! No' But to me that's... who comes first," he grinned.
As to not let him feel left out, Joss joked Chris' dad is the inspiration behind his work.

Avengers: Age of Ultron - which also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba among others - hits cinemas this month.
