Chris Pratt would like to see his Guardians of the Galaxy character "seduce" a woman with Lionel Richie's music.

The 35-year-old actor plays the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the latest Marvel Comics movie. Although Peter is already pretty smooth with the (alien) ladies, Chris would like to think that some romantic tunes would do the trick a little better.

"I wouldn’t mind seeing Peter Quill try and seduce somebody to Lionel Richie [starts singing]. Like purple girl [alien woman], who is just like, crying because it’s so beautiful," Chris mused to Cover Media during a press conference in London for the movie. "It would be super easy to seduce femaliens if all you needed was Lionel Ritchie."

Starring alongside Chris in the feature are big names such as Zoe Saldana, who takes on the part of green heroine Gamora.

When quizzed on which members of fellow hero Marvel supergroup The Avengers they'd take on or collide with, Chris was quick to share his thoughts.

"In the comic, with Gamora and Iron Man, you know, they have hooked up..." he began.

Zoe, clearly surprised by the comment, chimed in with: "Nooo!"

Chris, keen to continue with his imaginary story, also brought in his co-star Bradley Cooper's CGI'd character Rocket Racoon.

"How will Peter Quill/Star-Lord feel about that? Maybe he doesn’t like it, and then maybe Rocket hears it, that I don’t like it, and Rocket shoots Tony Stark! Blows a hole in his face! That’d be amazing!" Chris enthused.

Guardians of the Galaxy hits cinemas in the UK on July 31 and August 1 in the US.
