Daisy Lowe says Helena Bonham Carter is her style icon

The 22-year-old model admires the 44-year-old actress because of her daring approach to fashion and the fact she isn’t afraid to express herself through clothes.

She said: "Helena Bonham Carter is my icon because she's not afraid to have some fun with her clothes."

The ‘King’s Speech’ star – who is in a long-term relationship with director Tim Burton - is famed for her gothic style, passion for vintage clothes and her wild hairstyle.

Daisy – who is dating ‘Doctor Who’ actor Matt Smith - finds it hard to define her own style, but she admits she favours a "dishevelled" look.

She is quoted by heat magazine as saying: “I don't really have a signature look, but I love dressing up and I tend to pick clothes to suit my body type. I'm curvy, so I love anything that's pulled in at the waist, be it a maxidress or high-waisted shorts worn with a baggy T-shirt and a little jumper.

"I also use Aveda Pure Abundance Hair Potion and Bumble and Bumble Surf spray, then shake my hair out before blow-drying to achieve that dishevelled look. That's it!"
