Vin Diesel believes Sir Michael Caine is “one of the best actors of all time”.

The pair worked together on forthcoming Breck Eisner film The Last Witch Hunter, about an immortal man fighting a witch uprising in modern-day New York.

And Vin couldn’t help but gush over his experience co-starring with the screen legend.

Sharing a photo of himself posing with Michael on Facebook, the star revealed Witch Hunter has topped nearly every acting job to date.

“I might have to say, that this week was one of the best career experiences I've had as an actor, since I first started rolling film on Multi-Facial 20 years ago…” he wrote.

“Sir Michael Caine is one of the best actors of all time, and together we created something that I will be proud of for the rest of my life. Last Witch Hunter October 2015.”

Vin frequently takes to Facebook to share his personal and professional experiences.

He’s used the social media site recently to share his feelings while grieving the death of Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker, who passed away in a fiery car crash unrelated to the film last November.

Vin, 47, was extremely close to the late star and elaborated on his feelings in a recent interview with German newspaper Bild, revealing Paul’s death has taught him to cherish every experience and live life to the fullest.

“You realise you only have a limited amount of time here on earth. I now live more consciously and more carefully and use every day to hold my nearest and dearest close and tell them I love them,” he explained.

"I'm also more likely to ask for a stuntman. Before, I wouldn't have given it a second thought… I certainly am scared of death, but not for selfish reasons. It's more that I think my family still need me.”
