Ellen Burstyn is impressed by Blake Lively’s “well-balanced” nature.

The 82-year-old Academy Award-winning actress stars in The Age of Adaline with Blake, who welcomed daughter James with her husband Ryan Reynolds in December of last year.

And Ellen thinks her 27-year-old co-star will prove to be a remarkable mom.

“She’s a very loving person and a very well-balanced girl, and she’s very creative and has an artist in her,” Ellen told People magazine. “I can picture her playing with her daughter. I think she’ll be a wonderful mother. Both of them; I think Ryan will be a lovely parent, too.”

Ellen made the lovely statement while she and Blake walked the red carpet for the New York City premiere of The Age of Adaline on Sunday.

Blake has quite a large family as she is the youngest of four siblings which include brother Eric, half-sisters Lori and Robyn and half-brother Jason.

And she is elated her daughter James will have plenty of cousins to play with as she grows older.

“I think every year — my family is expanding, not only in my immediate family, but my siblings are having kids, and it’s nice to have that,” Blake gushed to People.

Blake looked absolutely stunning at the film debut over the weekend, donning a scarlet Monique Lhuillier gown.

In The Age of Adaline the gorgeous star plays the titular character Adaline Bowman, who must decide whether she should give up her immortality for love.

The Age of Adaline reaches US theatres on April 24.
