Jesse Tyler Ferguson went into meltdown when he thought Jim Parsons had received a sex toy meant for him.

Jesse and Eric Stonestreet appear alongside each other in Modern Family, and Eric has made no secret of his love of pranking his co-star. His latest gag involved a sex toy, which he arranged to be delivered to Jesse’s home. However, when it didn’t turn up, Jesse became convinced it had accidentally gone to his neighbour’s place – The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons.

“[I ordered it and] I wait a week and then I’m like, ‘Jesse, did you ever get the [toy] I sent you?’ He’s like, ‘Oh, yeah right.’ I’m like, ‘No, seriously.’ So I sent him a screen shot of the… delivery [and] it says it was left by your gate. He’s like, ‘Oh my God! Eric, I cannot believe you! You sent me that with my name on!’” Eric laughed to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. “Long story short, he searches everywhere for it and he can’t find it anywhere. So he tells me, 'It’s nowhere to be found and Eric…’ – Jim Parsons lives on his street, very talented, wonderful actor – he goes, ‘Sometimes we get each other’s packages!’”

Jesse made Eric ask Jim whether the offending item had got mixed into his mail, leaving Jim very confused, as it hadn’t. The toy eventually turned up a week later, by which time Eric had invested in a load more, which he dotted around Jesse’s trailer.

When he isn’t pulling pranks, Eric plays another type of game. He is pretty competitive and so enjoys filling his time with game nights at friends’ homes - although occasionally things go too far.

“I remember playing a Cranium game one time, years ago, and this girl I was dating was legitimately mad at me because I couldn’t get what she’d sculpted out of a piece of clay. Who cares? Like honestly? There are people without food in the world and we’re talking about this still!” he laughed.

“Having said that, I hate it when you commit to a game night and they’re explaining the rules of [a game] and then there’s Chatty Cathy and Talky Tim over there chatting back and forth. You’re like, ‘HEY! Focus up, because you’re gonna be asking questions in like five minutes and we’re gonna be in the game!’”
