Eva Longoria is dating the man of her dreams.
The 40-year-old actress has been romancing Mexican businessman Pepe Bastón for around 18 months and things are going from strength to strength. He recently suggested Eva throw a party to celebrate her landmark birthday and during the event gave a touching speech, saying he was in no doubt he wanted to be with her for years to come.
"He's the man of my dreams," Eva gushed to British magazine Hello! in return.
During his speech Pepe told guests he was looking forward to the next 40 years, as he believes they will be just as special as his time to date with Eva.
It seems his support has made the Desperate Housewives star feel content too, as she has no qualms about celebrating her special day.
"It feels like the best time of my life. I feel younger than ever - age is just a number. I've worked so hard over the past ten years, so many things have happened in my life!" she explained.
"And you know what, all of it has made me, at 40, who I am - sure of what I want, of where I want to be and who I want to be with... So I say, welcome 40s! What's more, I am sure that at 80, I'll feel every bit as fantastic as I do now."
Eva's bash was held at an amusement park in Texas called Morgan's Wonderland. It is an important place to the star as it caters for people who have special needs, such as her older sister Elizabeth.
The star's foundation Eva's Heroes is dedicated to helping people with intellectual special needs and had a big part in festivities too. There was a gymkhana, BBQ and gala, with Eva explaining how the close bond she shares with her sibling Liza has shaped her to date.
"It's given me a different perspective on life. She's my older sister, so I was born and brought up in her world and that taught me the importance of being kind and compassionate and also the importance of understanding kids with special needs and their families," the star explained.
