Franco offers acting classes

James Franco is offering more acting classes in New York City due to “popular demand”.

The 36-year-old actor starred in Broadway play Of Mice and Men with Chris O’Dowd and Leighton Meester up until its July 27 closing.

But it appears California native James will be staying in the Big Apple well into autumn, as he’s looking forward to teaching people all about dramaturgy in forthcoming months.

“More ACTING CLASSES in NYC! By popular demand!” he wrote on his Facebook page Tuesday with a class registration link attached to the message.

The acting technique courses will be held from September at Studio 4, an acting school founded by James which has locations in Los Angeles and New York.

According to the establishment’s website, Studio 4 prides itself in being “a pioneer in artist training and education as well as a collaborative space for creative work and innovatory ventures”.

“Studio 4, in direct conjunction with James Franco's rapidly growing production company, Rabbit Bandini Productions, offers many unique opportunities not found in other acting schools, including guest lectures with industry professionals and the opportunity to be cast in James's growing number of film and art projects,” the site’s homepage reads. “In addition to training with some of the industry's most respected teachers, the students will have the opportunity to showcase their acting talents in front of James, one of the world's busiest directors and actors.”

James has a number of professional projects on the go currently.

He adapted Cormac McCarthy novel Child of God for the big screen, taking on directing, writing and acting credits. The film was recently screened at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City.

He will next be seen starring opposite Kate Hudson in crime thriller Good People.
