Josh Duhamel: I have to prove myself

(Cover) - EN Movies - Josh Duhamel feels like he is constantly trying to prove people wrong.

The 39-year-old started out as a model, before landing a role on US television show All My Children. He has since forged a Hollywood career, appearing in the Transformers franchise and Life as We Know It. Josh wants to be taken seriously as an actor.

“I sometimes feel like my whole career has been about trying to prove people wrong,” he told the January issue of UK magazine Glamour. “I had to prove I wasn’t just a cardboard cut-out and that I could do primetime TV. And then that not only could I do TV, but movies, too.”

Although Josh is tired of the attention surrounding his looks, he insists he will continue to work hard.

He wants to land challenging roles and impress critics with his performances.

“I’d much rather surprise people than have them expect too much,” he added.

Josh can currently be seen in the romantic comedy New Year’s Eve.

The movie also features stars such as Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Biel.

It follows the lives of several couples and single people over the course of a New Year’s Eve in New York City.
