(Cover) - EN Movies - Jude Law was “excited” to be in a film that uses multiple languages.

The actor’s new film, 360, opened the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday.

The film is a romantic drama that follows an entangled web of relationships around the world including a grieving father in Colorado and a prostitute in Vienna.

“It’s a piece about humans being humans,” Jude explained in an interview with British newspaper The Telegraph. “And trying to do the right thing, that’s my take on it.”

The film features Anthony Hopkins and Rachel Weisz as well as a number of foreign stars.

Jude admitted he was thrilled to be working with actors who weren’t from Hollywood.

“I think I was also excited to be in something that was going to be in multiple languages,” he exclaimed. “It is in all these different languages and I got to meet all these wonderful actors from around the world, that you wouldn’t normally get to work with.”

The BFI London Film Festival is in its 55th year.

This year 360 is also up for a festival award, shortlisted in the best film category alongside The Descendants and The Deep Blue Sea.

Jude was full of praise for director Fernando Meirelles, best known for films such as City of God and The Constant Gardener. He also paid tribute to writer Peter Morgan, who wrote Frost/Nixon and Last King of Scotland.

“Fernando is a brilliant filmmaker and a charming man,” he gushed. “Peter wrote an amazing script.”

The London Film Festival includes 13 world premieres, 18 international premieres and 22 European premieres.

It runs until October 27.
