(Cover) - EN Movies - Keanu Reeves thinks Clash of the Titans is "the way not to do" 3D filmmaking.
The Hollywood actor has stepped behind the camera to produce the documentary Side By Side - which focuses on the history and evolution of celluloid and digital filmmaking.
Keanu has revealed his disdain for new technology, which he thinks can damage storytelling if not done properly.
"We have seen some examples where the 3D aspect of the film was not the way it was designed. They've done post-3D. Clash of the Titans is often held up as the way not to do it," he told Empire magazine.
"It was rushed. I'm sure the filmmakers were frustrated by it."
Keanu has joked that film is definitely on the way out thanks to digital advances.
"Yeah, it's going to be the new sepia!" he exclaimed after explaining: "When I started the documentary a year-and-a-half ago it seemed like the gold standard of film was still the gold standard of film. There was a kind of push back from studio movies and big Hollywood pictures.
"There were exceptions to the rule, but they were still exceptions. I think now, with the Alexa camera, the film camera is dead.”
Keanu is also stepping behind the camera for his directorial debut Man of Tai Chi.
