Kelly Osbourne proved she holds no grudges when she congratulated Melissa Rivers on her first Fashion Police show last night.

The star left the E! show earlier this year amid controversies that included co-star Giuliana Rancic making comments about 19-year-old Zendaya.

Last night Fashion Police returned, with Melissa, 47, debuting as new host and producer. And Kelly, 30, clearly tuned in to watch her pal on screen.

"@MelRivers congratulations on an awesome show tonight! (sic)," Kelly tweeted the star.

"@KellyOsbourne I love you!!! The flowers are amazing and you owned the lavender carpet! Xxx #friends #mysister (sic)" Melissa replied, referring to Kelly's hosting of the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on Sunday.

Melissa is the daughter of late comedienne Joan Rivers, who starred alongside Kelly on the show. She passed away aged 81 in September last year, which left Kelly completely shaken and unsure about returning to Fashion Police without her.

When Kelly eventually announced her departure, she mentioned how much she gained from her time spent with Joan.

“It was the five best working years of my life. I am so grateful for the experience. I can’t even,” she explained on TV show The Talk. “Working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible. I learned so much. I’m excited for my future now. I want to try new things."

The current Fashion Police panel consists of Melissa, Giuliana and Brad Goreski.
