Kim Kardashian 'ditches grin'

Kim Kardashian apparently no longer smiles in photos at the request of her husband Kanye West.

The American star became a household name thanks to her reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashaians, which follows her and her family as they go about their day-to-day lives.

Kim tied the knot with Kanye in a lavish Italian ceremony in May, and friends say she's now so influenced by him she's imitating how he deals with paps.

"Kanye can be very controlling with everything in his life, that's his personality. He wants Kim to be perfect," an insider revealed to British magazine Grazia.

"In the old days, you'd always see Kim smiling when she was having her photo taken. But now more often than not she'll be stony-faced," the source said, adding Kanye has asked Kim to copy him and not to smile when she's papped.

Viewers of the popular TV show can see 33-year-old Kim adores being with Kanye and relishes her role as mother to the couple's 13-month-old daughter North.

But pals fear Kim is so enamoured with her beau, she's lost her sense of self.

"It seems even when he's not around she can't make decisions. Kim will call him to check she's buying the right brand of water. She can't even pick her own nail varnish without checking with him," the source added.

Kim herself has admitted in the past that she trusts Kanye's opinion when it comes to fashion and fans noticed a style overhaul when she first started dating the rapper.
