Kim Kardashian starts work on movie role

Kim Kardashian has jetted to Atlanta to begin work on her new movie.

The 31-year-old reality star is currently embroiled in divorce drama after filing to end her 72-day marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries.

But Kim is keeping to her commitments and left Los Angeles this morning to start production on the aptly titled Tyler Perry film, The Marriage Counselor.

The movie is about a relationship expert called Judith who cheats on her husband. Kim will play Judith’s co-worker, Ava, who gives her colleague a makeover to help her gain confidence in herself.

Kim is said to want to keep a low profile while the negative publicity around her calms down and she was the only Kardashian absent to cheer on her brother Rob last night for his performance on Dancing With The Stars.

She did tweet her support though urging fans to vote for Rob.

Meanwhile, Kim’s mother Kris Jenner says that her daughter’s new acting job is exactly what she needs right now.

“This is incredibly difficult time for her,” Kris told People magazine. “She has always tended to bury herself in work in times like this, but we’re all here for her and she has a big support system in all of us.”
