Kristen Bell believes paparazzi still pose “a threat” to her children.

The Veronica Mars actress shares daughters Lincoln, two, and Delta, five months, with husband Dax Shepard.

Kristen and Dax have been involved in the fight against publication of their children’s pictures in tabloids with their #NoKidsPolicy campaign for quite some time, and they remain firm in their quest.

"If you are taking a picture of my child, that is my decision, that has nothing to do with my profession," Kristen told ETonline.

Ashton recently lashed out against paparazzi on Twitter after photos of his seven-month-old daughter Wyatt were published. The actor, who shares the little girl with his fiancée Mila Kunis, wrote in a tweet on May 19: “Why is it so hard for publications to respect that I would like the identity of my child kept private for safety reasons? Pls honor that.(sic)”

And during her interview with ET, Kristen showed support for Ashton’s upset.

"So I would agree with [Ashton’s] outrage or disappointment,” she explained.

"Any time somebody is doing something to your child that you don't approve of that's a threat. I'll echo what I said before: this is not a celebrity issue, it's a parent issue.

"I think the consumer is now more aware of where the pictures come from. I really think it’s still going to be up to the people consuming the media to decide whether or not they want to exploit these kids for their amusement."

The House of Lies actress was honoured at the Laughter is the Best Medicine event for her efforts to improve women’s health in countries all over the world.

And Kristen feels the need to accept the award with humility.

“To be among that group I'm like pretty sure I'm a doctor now but I can't guarantee it," she joked. "It's nice to be acknowledged, though I don't really feel special in any way. I feel like there are a lot of other mothers who stand up for what they believe in because they think they deserve to care for everyone.”
