Olga Kurylenko has quipped she wants to return to the Bond franchise as a toothless “old lady”.

The Ukrainian-born actress played Bond girl Camille Montes in the 2008 movie Quantum of Solace. The sexy secret service agent proved an exception to the usual formula, as Bond girls tend to make love to James Bond before being killed off. Olga has considered reprising the role of Camille for a future 007 instalment.

“I’m planning on coming back as an old lady with no teeth,” she laughed to Empire.

Although Quantum of Solace boosted Olga’s career, it has also meant Olga has to be choosy about film projects.

The 33-year-old doesn’t want to be typecast into playing the same kinds of characters for the remainder of her career.

“It’s all self-conscious. You have no idea how careful I have to be about each project. Everybody said, ‘You’re going to get stuck being a Bond girl.’ I had tons of offers of Lara Croft types, the sexy, strong woman running around with a gun,” she explained. “I realised it’s about a choice; I choose my career. I decide what I’m going to do. My agents help me, but if it’s a no from me, it’s a no.

“It’s funny; they always get me to play tough people. In life, I’m not tough. People see me like that. I guess it’s how I come off.”

Olga’s latest big-screen outing sees her play astronaut Julia Rusakova alongside Tom Cruise in Oblivion. She was instantly attracted to the script, but found some of the futuristic concepts a challenge to get to grips with.

“I liked the fact it was sci-fi and a very intriguing story,” she said. “When I was reading the script, it was hard because obviously all this futuristic stuff they describe doesn’t exist. I was like, ‘Is it a car, a bicycle or a boat'’ So when you finally see those machines, you go, ‘Oh, now I get it.’ They are so cool.”

Olga is full of praise for her co-star Tom. She was in awe of his boundless energy when they were working together.

“Tom is so awesome. His favourite phrase was, ‘Shoot the rehearsal!’ He’s a leader. I don’t know when he’s tired,” she smiled.
