Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino want to do a sequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.

The pair enjoyed huge success as the ditzy blonde friends who attended their ten-year high school reunion in the 1997 movie.

And while Mira and Lisa are keen to reunite for a follow-up film, Disney has yet to agree to the prospect.

“Disney, if you're listening - everybody wants it!” Mira told E! News while attending the Emmy Awards Performers Peer Group Celebration.

"Me and Lisa and Robin [Scgiff, writer] would love to do a sequel. We have asked Disney before. It's Disney that has to decide to say yes."

Mira added that the cult success of the film surprised even the stars of the movie, as well as producers.

“I don't think they realise what a cult phenomenon it has become. I mean, people dress up as us for Halloween!” Mira added.

The 46-year-old actress finds herself bombarded by requests for a sequel everywhere she goes.

Even when Mira attended the Comic-Con event to promote her new series Intruders last week, the only question on everyone’s lips was whether or not she would be reprising her role as Romy in a follow-up film.

"People were like, 'Why aren't Romy and Michele at Comic-Con?'" Mira laughed. "I was like, 'It's not a current movie. It's a while ago.' And it was like, 'When are you coming back? When are you going to come here for the sequel?'"
