(Cover) - EN Movies - Michael Madsen thought some scenes in Thelma & Louise were “boring” so “made up” whole new parts of the film.
The actor appeared in the Ridley Scott-directed movie alongside Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis.
Michael wasn’t keen on one specific scene in the drama so with permission from Ridley, took it upon himself to make an adjustment.
“I thought the way the scene is the motel room was written – where I take the ring out – was boring so the director Ridley Scott, myself and Susan made up that whole scene. I loved that,” he exclaimed in the UK edition of OK! magazine.
“I should have bought one of those cars! There were three of them but they ran them off the cliff so I bought an aqua blue one for my wife.”
Michael is also famed for playing the razor-wielding, jewel thief Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. The star says he created certain characteristics of his sadistic character.
“It was shot in two weeks for less than a million dollars and they told us to show up on set with your own black suits, white shirts and black shoes. You can see my pants didn’t match the jacket!” he laughed.
“And I didn’t have any black shoes so I wore cowboy boots, and that’s how I had the idea of putting the razor in my boot.”
