Margot Robbie was left embarrassed when Clint Eastwood "glared" at her during the Oscars.

The 24-year-old actress attended the prestigious ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, where she presented the golden statue for sound mixing alongside Miles Teller.

After the task Margot was happy to crack open a bottle of bubbly, but she's not sure whether the move went down well with screen icon Clint.

"I went backstage to present an award and afterwards did an interview. They gave me this little bottle of champagne for the interview and I went back to my seat. We were in an ad break and I opened it and it popped really loudly," she recalled to Shazam Top 20 co-hosts Angus O'Loughlin and Ash London.

"Clint Eastwood was sitting right in front of me and turned around and glared at me! And I kind of ducked my head... I don’t know if he was glaring cause it’s kind of the facial expression he always has - so he might have been appraising the situation or maybe he wanted some, I don’t know."

During her chat Margot also revealed one of her favourite on-screen kisses. Rather than citing Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street or Will Smith in her latest film Focus, the blonde beauty named her former Neighbours co-star Alan Fletcher, who plays Dr Karl Kennedy.

"He wins!" she laughed.

It's an exciting time for Margot, who currently has three features in the pipeline. One of these is Suicide Squad, in which she's set to play the comic book character Harley Quinn.\

Signing onto such a big franchise was a big decision for Margot.

“[It's] daunting. You don’t need to have commitment issues to be frightened by the fact that you might have just signed ten years of your life away," she recently admitted to the Arizona Public.
