(Cover) - EN Movies - Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson have reportedly joined the cast of Inescapable.

The thriller will follow a Syrian expatriate whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus, and he must return to his homeland to find her.

Alexander Siddig is already in place for the lead role.

According to Deadline, Marisa will join the movie as a past love of Alexander’s who helps him on his journey.

Joshua will play an embassy official, who seems helpful but may have ulterior motives.

Ruba Nadda, who is known for movies such as Sabah and Unsettled, is writing and directing the piece.

Daniel Iron and Lance Samuels are producing.

Ruba, Alexander and Daniel are all reuniting for the project after working together on 2009's Cairo Time.

Marisa will have to fit the new project around her packed schedule. She is currently filming Parental Guidance alongside Billy Crystal and Bette Midler and will then go on to star in Lucky Them alongside Alec Baldwin and Allison Janney.

Joshua is also busy working hit TV show Fringe, a drama centred around a female FBI agent and created by J.J. Abrams.
