(Cover) - EN Movies - Mark Ruffalo says turning up to film The Avengers was like the “first day at school”.
The actor plays the role of The Hulk in the film based on Marvel comic book characters.
He admits it was challenging portraying the green conqueror as it is the first time he’s starred in a movie about superheroes.
“Both Jeremy [Renner, who plays Hawkeye] and I were new to the whole thing. The others, like Robert Downey Jr. [Iron Man], Chris Hemsworth [Thor] and Chris Evans [Captain America] have already been in their own superhero movies,” he told the UK edition of Elle magazine.
“It was like your first day of school.”
While other people may have been tempted to make a quick escape, Mark decided to stick around. He says his co-star Samuel L Jackson provided the inspiration.
“When you’ve got [Samuel L] Jackson standing in front of you, you don’t run. I melted,” he joked.
The movie is set to be released worldwide from April 26 and also stars Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
