Actor Matt Bomer's husband has become "anesthetised" to his sex scenes.

The star tied the knot with publicist Simon Halls in 2011 and the couple raise sons Walker, Kit and Henry together.

A lot of raciness is in store when the fifth season of Matt's TV show American Horror Story hits small screens on October 7 (15). His alter ego Donovan gets down and dirty with Lady Gaga's character The Countess, but it's nothing that fazes Matt's spouse.

"There's been a lot of that sort of scene work for me over the years in one form or another, so I think we're all pretty much sort of anesthetised to that," he told reporters at the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming season, titled Hotel, according to People magazine.

"It's part of the job. It's part of the character's reality and who they are and their circumstances. That's what you show up and do. It's just a day at the office sometimes when you're an actor."

What made this time round more exciting for Matt, who played Andy in the last season, Freak Show, was Gaga's involvement. The 37-year-old hunk is a big fan of the singing sensation and admits to being nervous at first. Luckily his anxieties disappeared when he got to hang out with Gaga away from the cameras.

"Once we met and we hung out and she had us over to her house where she was so approachable and relatable, it made it so much easier to work together," Matt smiled.

"By the time we got to set we could drop the mythos of 'Lady Gaga' and approach each others as actors. She's a brilliant actress. She's so fun to work with. I was a big fan coming and I'm an even bigger fan as a human being and actress coming out of it."
