(Cover) - EN Movies - Max Irons hates having to work out six days a week for his next movie The Host.

The British actor has revealed how he dreams of going for a drink in London during his gym sessions in Los Angeles.

Max plays the lead role of Jared, whose ex-lover Melanie is possessed by the spirit of an alien.

"I have to go to the gym six days a week for my next movie, and I hate it,” he confessed.

“As soon as the session is over, I light a cigarette! I prefer London to LA: it rains, it's sad but I like going to the pub after work and here people don't have plastic surgery."

The 26-year-old admits that being typecast as a heartthrob means he has had to work harder to prove himself in the industry.

"The problem with Hollywood is that, for actors of my age, you don't really have plenty of choices,” he said.

“You have to wait until you are 30, 40. Even if The Host looks like Red Riding Hood, it's a movie which gonna do well, which means more work for me.”

The Red Riding Hood star – whose father is Jeremy Irons - insists that he has no problem being recognised as the son of a famous actor.

"It's not always easy, we try and separate work and family,” he added to French magazine Jalouse. “You don't want your parents to act like they are your manager and even if they try to warn you against the downsides of the job, you want to check yourself. Apart from that, I don't mind people pointing at me saying ‘he's the son of’, it's a fact."

The Host is due for worldwide release later this month.
