McCarthy's wedding ring missing

Jenny McCarthy has lost her wedding ring within days of marrying Donnie Wahlberg.

The former Playboy model walked down the aisle in a ceremony near her hometown of Chicago, Illinois on August 31.

And she confessed on Tuesday the piece of jewellery meant to symbolise their vows went missing not long after.

"I've already lost the ring," she said on Good Day NY.

"We were staying in a hotel and you can't have a wedding ring on… it's a little hard to get romantic with diamonds on your hand," Jenny explained. "I removed it and put it on the room service table and they came and turned down the room and the ring was gone.”

Apparently Jenny isn’t too upset about the lost ring. She’s trying to see the silver lining when reflecting on the romantic time she shared with her new husband moments before it disappeared.

"But you know what though' If you're gonna lose your wedding ring, you should lose it that way," she mused.

News Jenny and Donnie had wed first made headlines two weeks ago, after Donnie’s brother Mark congratulated the couple on Twitter.

“Congratulations @DonnieWahlberg and @JennyMcCarthy, so happy for you both today,” he wrote, revealing he couldn’t make it as he celebrated his daughter’s birthday.

It is the second union for both the bride and groom.

Jenny divorced John Asher in 2005 after seven years of marriage, and they share a son.

Donnie was married to Kim Fey for nine years until their 2008 split and the former couple are parents to two sons.
