Mendes ‘gives birth’

Eva Mendes has reportedly welcomed a baby girl with Ryan Gosling.

The Stuck on You actress gave birth on Friday, sources tell UsWeekly.

Spokespersons for the stars have yet to confirm the news.

Eva, 40, and Ryan, 33, began dating in 2011 and co-starred as parents in 2012 drama The Place Beyond the Pines.

America’s OK! magazine initially reported the actress was seven months pregnant with their first child back in July. Several outlets followed suit, sending fans into a frenzy, although the claims went unconfirmed by the pair’s representatives.

In February, the actress insisted pregnancy rumours were absurd after tabloids reported she told security at Los Angeles International Airport she could not go through a body-scanner during a pre-flight check because she was expecting.

“It's so ridiculous,” she told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres when asked about the incident, insisting she had other concerns.

“It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy' They basically see you naked, right' And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out,” she explained.

Ryan and Eva recently collaborated on his directorial debut, Lost River, which premiered at Cannes in May.

The actor told UK newspaper The Times shortly after he began dating the star that he would "make movies until I make babies”.
