Mila Kunis has mocked a lawsuit brought against her about stolen poultry.
The 31-year-old Jupiter Ascending actress was born in the Ukraine and a Ukrainian singer named Kristina Karo has sued the star for allegedly stealing a chicken from her during childhood in their native country.
There are many discrepancies in Kristina’s $5,000 lawsuit against the Hollywood A-lister and Mila took the opportunity to make fun of the outlandish civil case in a funny video she published via live-streaming app Meerkat on Wednesday, a technology company her partner Ashton Kutcher has invested in.
“Let’s just get this clear, you stole a chicken from a one-month-old child who spoke to you?” Ashton asked Mila, clearly joking about the plaintiff’s assertion against his love. “Not only was she one-month-old in Ukraine, but was speaking in English in Ukraine. This is the smartest girl I’ve ever heard of!”
Mila responded by referencing Kristina’s new music promo for her track Give Me Green Card, which was released the same day the chicken lawsuit grabbed headlines in the press.
“It had nothing to do with her music video, that’s just accidental,” Mila quipped. “I was devastated. I was weeping. I was dumbfounded. I was like, 'Which chicken did I steal?' I apologise to this woman, who was maybe or not a month old.
“I would like to launch a counter $5,000 lawsuit for making me sit there and watch your music video shamelessly. My body hurts. My eyes hurt, they’re burning. That requires money.”
Mila also noted she did not receive a physical summons from Kristina’s camp, but the actress did say she feels “served” emotionally.
Kristina claimed the star stole her chicken ‘Doggie’ while they both lived in a Ukrainian village when Mila was seven years old and the singer was one month old. Kristina claims she sued Mila for emotional distress because she had to seek therapy after her beloved bird was lifted.
