(Cover) - EN Movies - Nick Broomfield is looking forward to “discovering some new talent” at this year’s Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

He will lead the jury for this year’s inaugural Arab Documentary film competition.

The British director will join Moroccan filmmaker Hakim Belabbes and Istanbul Film Festival director Azize Tan on the panel. Nick is thrilled to be giving some exposure to the festival.

“The Arab documentary competition line-up features some very strong contenders from filmmakers throughout the Arab region including Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon and UAE,” Nick told THR. “I’m looking forward to discovering some new talent and aiding these films to find exposure around the world.”

This year’s narrative jury will include Hollywood actress Robin Wright, Lebanese actress Carmen Lebbos and Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo.

This year’s event will also include a series of special screenings and number of talks.

These “Doha Talks” will be master classes taking place from October 26 until October 29. Actor Antonio Banderas, French director Luc Besson and Morgan Spurlock, creator of Super Size Me, will all be sharing their knowledge of the film industry.

Several films will also be screened at the festival. As well as documentaries including Nick Broomfield’s latest project, Sarah Palin: You Betcha!, and Asif Kapadia’s Senna, a special 3D version of Puss In Boots will be shown for a day of family fun.
