Olga Kurylenko says Tom Cruise is "so normal".

The 33-year-old stars alongside the Hollywood actor in the new movie Oblivion.

Olga denied she had made any firm opinions on what Tom would be like before she met him, and says she found the actor to be pleasantly grounded.

"I usually don't have any preconceived notions unless I know someone who's a good friend of theirs. I didn't know Tom [Cruise] before, nor did I know anyone who knew him personally. All I knew was that he was this amazing actor and a big star," Olga explained to Refinery29. "For me, it was like, 'Oh my God!' I was so nervous, but he was so cool and relaxed when I met him, and incredibly welcoming. He's so normal. He doesn't make you feel like you're talking to a star. He's very real, very human."

Olga says it was Tom's down-to-earth and welcoming nature that helped her feel comfortable on set. The Ukrainian-born Bond girl admired his personality just as much as his acting talent.

"[He] put me at ease right away. Working with him was great," she gushed. "He's so helpful and supportive and he takes care of the crew. Apart from that he's an amazing actor."

Oblivion is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth and the story follows the people who have survived. Olga has spoken before about her own fight for survival growing up as she was raised by her single mother with very little money. The actress believes she would be capable of getting through an apocalypse in real life.

"I would do my best to survive, that's for sure," she explained. "The most important thing for me to bring would be a human. If I were by myself, I wouldn't want to survive, because what would I be doing? There would be a reason I survived if I was there with another human."
