Chris O’Dowd is going to be a dad.

The 34-year-old comedian revealed his wife, Dawn O’Porter, is expecting the couple’s first child while taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

In a video posted online Wednesday, The IT Crowd star is seen dumping ice cold water on his head as part of the viral stunt to help raise money for Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

"I've been nominated by a bunch of bloody idiots. So I guess it's time,” he mused before nominating the couple’s impending arrival.

"I'd like to nominate Baby O'Porter," he gushed.

The camera then reveals Dawn and shows off her baby bump.

“So brave,” Chris says.

The actor wed British TV personality Dawn in 2012.

Back in April, Chris revealed the pair decided to buck tradition when it came to Dawn taking his surname, simply choosing to add an “O” and become “O’Porter”.

While the Bridesmaids actor didn’t believe she would go through with it, he’s now in love with the unique approach.

"You know, I thought she was joking when she mentioned it at first. And then I just thought it was so cool," Chris admitted to the American edition of Esquire magazine back in April. "I mean she got a lot of stick for it in the UK. I think the people thought it was a silly celebrity thing or something.

"She's a feminist, so she didn't want to give her name away. But she also thought she wanted to take something of her husband's, you know, and the O is hugely meaningful,” he explained. “O only exists in Ireland. So you're taking on my nationality as part of your name. I found it very touching. I would have loved if we were both called O'Porter."
