Paul Bettany pines for UK

Paul Bettany misses visiting English pubs.

The star was born in London and later moved to America to pursue a career in movies. Paul now lives in New York with his wife Jennifer Connelly and the couple raise three children. Even though he feels settled in the US, he can’t help feeling homesick sometimes.

“Time flies by so quickly and I realise it had been ten years since I moved to New York. I love it there and we have a beautiful house in the mountains outside Vermont but I really miss pubs,” he said. “They don’t do pubs.”

The 40-year-old star admits he probably has romantic memories of being in the UK. Despite living in a far more comfortable climate now, Paul claims he sometimes even pines for rain and cloudy days.

“I weirdly even miss the bad weather!” Paul laughed.

However, he was grateful for his home in New York during the shooting of new movie Margin Call.

The financial drama was filmed in the city, which was very convenient for the star.

“It was a very short drive to work!” Paul quipped.
