Paul Walker's brothers have "mixed feelings" about appearing in Fast & Furious 7.

Caleb, 36, and 25-year-old Cody are shooting scenes for the movie sequel in honour of their late brother, who died in a car crash late last year. He had been filming the latest instalment of the street racing series at the time, with the three men's sister Ashlie now discussing Caleb and Cody's experience.

"They have mixed feelings,” she told RadarOnline. “It’s emotional. And it’s been hard to step into Paul’s shoes and make a huge career move. They’ve been working with coaches on their scripts. They want to honour him and do the very best they can.”

The brothers have been shooting in Dubai recently, which Ashlie says has been fun for them. They are due to film in Atlanta too, with the rest of the cast - including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham - doing their utmost to make them feel at home.

Caleb has a restaurant and Cody is a paramedic, with both adamant they will return to their everyday lives once Fast & Furious 7 wraps.

"They’re not actors. This is temporary,” Ashlie explained. “They just want to help complete the film because so many people were so invested. Paul was invested. Both have things about them that are so similar to Paul, even the way they walk. It was a natural decision.”

Paul's family plans to watch the film when it is released. Although she is looking forward to it, Ashlie is in no doubt that she will get emotional.

"It’s going to be difficult to watch," she said. “Even now, I’ll be watching TV and the trailer comes on for [this month’s drama] Brick Mansions, and I’ll hear his voice and my heart stops. It brings up so much sadness. There will be crying and excitement."

Paul was 40 at the time of his death in November, which happened when the person driving the car he was in lost control. He is survived by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow, his child with ex-partner Rebecca Soteros.

Over the weekend Meadow opened her official social media accounts, posting a black-and-white image of herself and her father on her Facebook page.
