Posey’s broken engagement sparks meltdown

Tyler Posey’s broken engagement has sent Teen Wolf fans into meltdown mode.

The 23-year-old star recently split from fiancée and childhood sweetheart Seana Gorlick after a decade-long romance.

And while the actor has insisted the former couple remain friends, fans of the show aren’t handling the news so well.

“HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO BELIEVE IN LOVE IF TYLER AND SEANA BROKE UP AFTER 10 YEARS,” MTV News reports one user wrote.

“TYLER AND SEANA SPLIT UP????? WHY??!?!??! THIS ISN'T A WORLD I WANT TO LIVE IN WHY DID THIS HAPPEN I'M SO SAD,” another added.

Others echoed sentiments about “giving up on love”, while one user suggested someone needed to call 911.

“Tyler and Seana have split? Wtf, man, if I could bet any well-known couple would last for 60 years, it'd be them,” another lamented.

Others, however, tried to see the brighter side.

“TYLER POSEY IS SINGLE NOW. WHAT @tylergposey,” one person tweeted, another nodding: “Tyler Posey and his girlfriend broke up. I'm going to try and get at that.”

The stream of messages followed only hours after Tyler confirmed news of his split to US Weekly.

“You're the first interview I've said this to. We have broken up,” he told the outlet at Wednesday’s ASPCA Cocktail Event in Los Angeles.

“I’m just gonna get it out there because I get sad talking about it. I'm just gonna get it out there now so that hopefully people start hearing about it,” he said.

Tyler had confessed only last year he had been in love with Seana since adolescence and knew she would become his wife from the moment the met.

"[I knew] since I was 11," he said. "I couldn't really put it into words when I was that young but I always had this really strong connection to her and it's just been something I can't really explain other than I want to marry you and be with you forever. You just know. You definitely just know and I know."
