Pratt: I believe in destiny

Chris Pratt says he and wife Anna Faris “are meant to be together”.

The Jurassic World actor wed Scary Movie star Anna in 2009, and the pair are parents to two-year-old son Jack.

And in a Reddit AMA, Chris revealed to fans he’s convinced fate brought him and Anna together.

“Anna and I are meant to be together,” he wrote. “Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life.

“She and I grew up 20 minutes away from each other but never met until we met in LA. We both got our start in horror spoofs. We both did an animated movie for Phil Lord and Chris Miller. We both made our careers playing guileless nitwits for laughs. We both have parents that have suffered with MS. The similarities go on and on. Anna is a great wife. Very patient and understanding. Very supportive. So kind and genuine always. And she gave me a wonderful son and family of in laws that I truly love.”

While Chris’ AMA had its serious points, he also showed off his sense of humour, admitting he was a little drunk at the time of receiving the questions.

One fan asked him what would happen to him after being “bitten by a radioactive Chris Pratt”.

Referring to his weight loss to play Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris replied: “Oh no. You're probably gonna get fat and then skinny.”

Chris won the role of his life earlier this year when he was cast in the upcoming Jurassic Park sequel, Jurassic World. And he admits that despite wrapping the film a few months ago, he is still finding it hard to believe he had such an opportunity.

“I never believed I would work with Steven Spielberg on a Jurassic Park sequel,” he wrote. “It was a joke at the time both literally and figuratively. It's been a dream to get to play these roles and work on the projects that I have.”
