Robert Pattinson has described his on-screen wedding to girlfriend Kristen Stewart as 'very sweet'

The actor plays vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen in the hugely successful Twilight franchise, the latest instalment of which is out later this year. In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Robert’s character Edward Cullen marries his partner Bella Swan, played by Kristen.

The highly anticipated trailer for the movie was finally revealed yesterday and showed a few select scenes from the couple’s nuptials. Robert praised Kristen, explaining she took his breath away while shooting.

“She looks amazing,” Robert told MTV at the MTV Movie Awards last night. “The dress is amazing. It’s very pretty, very sweet. I didn't really have to do much other than just stand there, which I guess is what most guys do. Hopefully it will be good.”

The Hollywood hunk also confessed that he had not seen the trailer himself yet.

The clip depicts the reaction of the couple’s friends and families as they receive their wedding invites, scenes from Bella and Edward’s nuptials and their shock at Bella’s surprise pregnancy. It’s been eagerly awaited by millions of fans, and Robert hopes they’re happy with the result.

“I haven’t seen it yet,” Robert laughed on the red carpet when asked about the trailer. “I’m totally unprepared.”
