Rosie’s daughter ‘always wanted to leave home’

Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter Chelsea’s move from home was reportedly planned for a while.

Earlier this month a manhunt was launched in search for the teenager, as she ran away from the actress’ home.

Chelsea was eventually found, but after turning 18 years old on Monday, she decided to leave Rosie’s home to live in a remote Wisconsin town with her biological mother Deanna.

“She apparently told some people she [was] going to leave as soon as she turned 18,” a source informed People magazine.
It’s claimed Chelsea hated being the child of a celebrity.

The teenager supposedly cringed when faced with questions about her famous mother in school.

“She was always pretty quiet, but she hated if anyone brought up her mum,” the insider said.

Rosie’s representative Cindi Berger confirmed the news of Chelsea’s move to the New York Daily News earlier this week.

It seems as if Rosie has no hard feelings against her daughter, who the star recently revealed is mentally ill, even though TMZ previously claimed the actress threatened to cut Chelsea off financially if she moved out.

“Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice,” Cindi said.
After Chelsea ran away this month, Rosie got a number of authorities involved and the teenager was eventually found at the New Jersey dwelling of a man named Steven Sheerer - an alleged heroin addict.

Sheerer was arrested a few days later, having been charged with communication of obscenity and child endangerment.
Rosie is mother to five adopted children. She took Chelsea, who was put up for adoption at the age of two, into her home while still married to ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.
