Ryan Seacrest: I hate watching Hough get hurt

(Cover) - EN Movies - Ryan Seacrest “want[s] to punch the screen” when Julianne Hough gets roughed up in Footloose.

Julianne stars in the movie remake as rebellious high school pupil Ariel Moore. There’s a scene in the movie where her character gets physically attacked by her partner.

Julianne says boyfriend Ryan can’t watch that segment of the movie.

"Ryan saw it and said, 'I can't watch that,'" she told E! Online.

"He was like, 'When he hits you I just want to punch the screen... When I see you pull some of those faces, those are the faces that I see, so you know so it's hard for me to watch.'"

Despite not wanting to look at certain parts of the film, Ryan is thrilled with his girlfriend’s success. The 23-year-old professional dancer and actress revealed her beau is a fan of the upcoming movie.

"He's proud,” she smiled.

Julianne hopes that her starring role in the popular film will grab audiences’ attention. The stunning star wants to impress with her dramatic acting abilities.

"It's like free therapy," she said of acting. "People have seen me as, 'Hey, I'm Julianne Hough. I'm happy and I'm bright.'...But I've also gone through things. I just choose not to talk about them."

Julianne is also starring in the upcoming movie adaptation of hit Broadway musical Rock of Ages. She appears opposite Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige and Russell Brand to name a few.

Julianne suffered a dance-related neck injury in rehearsals, and says Hollywood superstar Tom came to her rescue.

"He was the one who was really taking care of me, making sure I was OK," she said. "He hooked me up with a massage therapist and stuff like that. I was like, Tom Cruise cares about me! It was pretty cool."
