Selena Gomez would have “blown up” ‘N Sync’s Twitter page if the social network was invented in her younger years.

The singer loves communicating with friends and fans using the site and admitted she would have bombarded her favourite boyband’s profile with messages had it existed in their heyday.

Now a pop sensation herself, the 19-year-old described how much the tweets from her fans mean to her.

“It's a great way to let people know what you're up to. If 'N Sync had a Twitter back in the day, I'd be blowing up their Twitter like crazy,” she laughed to USA Today. “I read as much as I can. Sometimes I don't respond…I just read my @replies. They're sweet and encouraging.”

The Disney starlet also admitted she finds the thought of getting by without a cell phone or laptop ‘scary’.

Selena likes to watch TV on her computer to relax and couldn’t survive without a cell phone.

"It's really scary to think about that [life without technology],” she admitted. “What would anyone do without a cellphone or laptop?”

Selena, who shot to fame thanks to her role in Disney TV show The Wizards of Waverley Place, revealed she likes to catch up on her favourite programmes on her MacBook laptop.

The tween star says American sitcom Friends is her “favourite show in the entire world”, adding she unwinds with the help of her gadgets.

“I like the laptop. It's not as loud [as the TV], and I like having it right there, by my couch or bed, and laying down with it. It's comforting," she said.
