Steven Seagal calls out Liam Neeson after telling The Big Issue Magazine “Liam’s not an action movie guy at all”.

American Actor Steven Seagal claims that action films no longer require real ‘warriors’ thanks to the use of modern-day special effects.

In an interview with the latest issue of The Big Issue (out Monday 2 May), the 62-year old Martial artist says:

“There are a lot of different methods of making movies now. They use a lot of special effects. People don’t have to be an action guy or a hero or a martial artist, they just get up there and let everybody spend the money and the time with special effects.”

And Seagal, who was a lead role in ‘The Patriot’ and ‘Under Seige’, uses Liam Neeson as an example of someone who has been fortunate to land action movie roles in recent times. He says:

“Look at Liam Neeson. He can’t fight, he’s not an action movie guy at all and he’s getting action movies now so that should tell you something. He’s a great dramatic actor. Is he an action guy' No. Is he a great fighter, a great warrior' No. Let’s be honest.”
