Taylor Lautner sees his Twilight co-stars "all the time".

The actor appeared in the hit vampire movie franchise alongside British actor Robert Pattinson and American star Kristen Stewart. Despite the last film being released nearly two years ago, the 22-year-old still keeps in regular contact with both co-stars.

"We don't have official reunions as such, but we all keep in touch for sure," he told British magazine Heat. "I see them all the time."

Taylor has continued making films since Twilight ended and is also making his TV debut in the UK in BBC3 sitcom Cuckoo. But despite his continued success, he still finds the whole experience of starring in one of the biggest movie franchises in history a bizarre experience.

"It does seem surreal, especially now a few years on from it, when you can see how big it was," he revealed. "I'll always be so grateful to Twilight, because it did so much for me and my friends. It's given us the opportunity to do so many interesting things."

For the star, it means turning his hand to his first full-on comedic role in Cuckoo. It proved a daunting experience for Taylor, but he relished the challenge.

"I wasn't confident at all," he admitted. "I'd only done cameos in comedy films before and I hosted Saturday Night Live, but this was my first fully-fledged comedy, so it was a big risk for me. But I'm so glad I did it. I knew it would be something completely different for me, and that was the biggest thing that attracted me to it."
