The Hollywood actor did a lot of things he regrets before he met his wife, former model Jennifer Flavin, but is now happier than ever.

Stallone - who is London promoting his new action movie 'The Expendables' - told BANG Showbiz: "I've made a lot of personal mistakes in my time. I consider my life 10 per cent on target, and 90 per cent mistakes. But those 10 per cent counted."

Before tying the knot with Jennifer in 1997, the 'Rocky' star was married to Sasha Czack from December 1974 and February 1985 and to actress Brigitte Nielsen for two years.

Stallone has previously claimed he was suffering from a "temporary form of insanity" when he wed Nielsen.

Just as he accepts he has had errors of judgement in his private life, the 64-year-old actor admits he has made plenty of mistakes in his career.

He said: "I've made a lot of career mistakes - a lot!

"Sometimes you're making a film and you go, 'It's a turkey and it's not even Thanksgiving. It's bad.' "

However, one thing Stallone doesn't regret is the violence in his movies because there is always a moral message.

Stallone - who has appeared in a host of gun-heavy films, including 'Rambo', 'Cobra' and 'Demolition Man' - explained: "The people who deserve it get it good and the people who go after women really, really get it."
