Cornish: I’m a hopeless romantic

Abbie Cornish is a “hopeless romantic”.

The Sucker Punch actress was linked to actor Ryan Phillippe after his divorce from Reese Witherspoon, but their relationship ended in 2010.

Although Abbie is currently single, she is still a big believer in romance.

“I’m a hopeless romantic. That’s probably my weakest point,” she revealed to Porter magazine.

The Australian relocated from her native country to Los Angeles seven years ago.

But while she has continued to make films, including W.E. and RoboCop, the star didn’t make the move for her career.

“'I never came for work, I came for love,” she said, possibly hinting at her relationship with Ryan. The 31-year-old admitted in a recent interview she is “totally open to having a relationship”.

While Abbie keeps looking for Mr Right, she’s never regretted her move to Los Angeles.

She has spoken in the past about how much she loves the city she now calls home.

“I love it in LA. I love the outdoors, the canyons, the beach, the weather. I love the people, the wildlife. I’ve got no complaints,” she told Esquire magazine in 2011.

Abbie added that living in Los Angeles allows her to be at her creative best.

“I’m into painting and street art and I’m a musician, I play piano. And I love taking pictures or filming things documentary style,” she said.

Abbie is also putting her skills as a musician into practice professionally, as it was announced in February she would be releasing a hip hop album.

According to the star, her debut LP is almost ready for the public to hear.

“It should be finished soon. It should be released toward the end of the year,” she told E! News.
