Maggie Wheeler would erect a giant sculpture of her Friends character Janice if she was Queen.
The 53-year-old actress is synonymous with her on-screen alter-ego, which she portrayed during the '90s and early '00s.
The American show is still as popular today as it was when it launched in 1994, with loyal fans currently getting ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary on September 22.
Talking to British magazine Stylist, Maggie reveals she still thinks of Janice fondly and would pay homage to the fictional character if she ever came into power.
"The first thing I would do as Queen is commission artist Jeff Koons to create a giant sculpture of Janice. We’d put it up in Trafalgar Square [London, UK] and she’d be holding shopping bags – she’d make shopping mandatory. She’d probably make Valentine’s Day a national holiday, too. I’ve been looking at monarchy-related jobs and I think Janice would probably like the title of 'keeper of the privy purse' because she’d imagine it would involve carrying a big leopard-print handbag," she laughed to the publication.
Friends launched the careers of its six main stars; Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.
All have gone on to become successful names but Maggie would rope each of them into royal duties if she ever got the chance.
"Monica [Courteney's character] would be the palace chef. I would be happy to have all the Friends in my royal court because everyone has something to offer, but Monica would be a great asset to keep me organised and make sure there was great food," she revealed.
Maggie first appeared in Friends during season one, and made regular cameos right up until the finale in 2004.
Known for her screechy voice and cackling laugh, in real life the actress admits she sounds nothing like her character.
"It’s still shocking to people as I think they assume I talk like that all the time. People get me to record their voicemail messages all over the world! I’m quite honoured that this character brought so much laughter to people and that she still lives on in people’s hearts so I don’t mind, I’m always happy to do it," she smiled.
