Claire Danes ‘shy’ with husband

Claire Danes admits she’s sometimes “shy” around her husband.

The 35-year-old Homeland actress has been married to actor-and-model Hugh Dancy since 2009 and they share 22-month-old son Cyrus together.

But Claire confesses she still gets bashful around her hunky beau from time to time.

“He is a gentleman. Downton Abbey-esque? I guess. He was raised well, went to great schools, he’s a clever guy and he makes me giggle… I scored. I lucked out, big-time!” she gushed in the December 2014 issue of Glamour UK magazine. “But when you’re truly intimate with somebody, they tend to lose their physical shape, you see through them. Occasionally I’ll wake up and notice his… form. And I’ll be, ‘Oh, wow. Dude. Is a looker.’ Then I get shy, all over again. It’s not why I love him, but it’s a very nice bonus.”

Claire has previously spoken about what it is like to be a mother.

The star is fascinated by the strong bond she has developed with her little boy.

"I'm so full of joy and exuberance, that's how I would describe my feeling about being a mom," she smiled to the British edition of OK! magazine.

"It almost makes you want to cry because it's just so beautiful."

Claire also credits husband Hugh with keeping her balanced.

She is elated he offers so much stability in her life.

"It's had a very settling influence on me," she revealed to OK!

"It's like you finally find the right partner with whom you feel totally comfortable. Everything suddenly makes sense and you don't have to think about why it's working out so well because things are so good and easy together."
