Jennifer Garner is set to star in comedy Nine Lives.

The 42-year-old actress will appear alongside Kevin Spacey, Robbie Amell and Christopher Walken in the upcoming film.

Written by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, the movie will tell the story of Kevin’s workaholic character who discovers that he has been trapped in the body of his family’s cat after having an accident.

The movie will be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Jennifer’s role in the film has yet to be revealed.

While the actress first started in musical theatre, and made a name for herself as the crime-fighting Sydney Bristow in hit TV show Alias, she has ventured into comedy in recent years.

She has roles in films such 13 Going On 30 and Juno under her belt.

Speaking previously about her versatility as an actress, Jennifer admitted she is up for turning her talents to any genre.

“Musicals were just what I did,” she told Dark Horizons back in 2004. “They were what was available to me in my home town. I was a ballet dancer and that kind of bled into musical theater. I was constantly in rehearsal for one thing or another. You would've thought that I was trying to be a professional in Charleston, West Virginia, but I just loved it so much and I was happy to be backstage. I was happy to have a role of any size or no size at all. And I still feel that way. I was just happy making Pearl Harbor and having four lines and I was doing this. Really, it's just kind of like I'm kind of good to go with whatever.”
