The Event Cinema Association’s Box Office ECA Awards winners have been announced, along with nominees for the hotly anticipated Awards of Excellence.
The Awards, which recognize excellence in international box office admissions, programming, distribution and exhibition in all fields of the Event Cinema sector are in their 3rd year and are sponsored by Rentrak.
The Awards Ceremony takes place at 11.30am on Monday October 19 at the ECA Conference, at the Picturehouse Central Cinema in London. US Distribution Company Fathom Events have been awarded an unprecented 7 Bronze Box Office Awards, an indication of the year on year exponential growth of this market.
In total 12 Bronze medals have been awarded this year, more than double the number of awards in 2014.
Awards criteria:
Gold awards recognize 500,000 admissions
Silver awards recognize 250,000 admissions
Bronze awards recognize 100,000 admissions
