Blake Lively says it's 'amazing' to have a Barbie doll based on her latest movie character

The actress plays aerospace executive Carol Ferris in new superhero movie Green Lantern. Blake couldn’t believe it when she discovered a toy had been created in honour of her character and she is thrilled with the final product. The star loves playing with the doll and she says it is one of the best things to have happened in her career so far.

"I have my own Barbie doll," she explained. "It's a Barbie made to look like me. It's amazing. I just want to be home and buy Barbie's Magical Dream house and play with myself!"

The 23-year-old was a big fan of Barbie dolls when she was growing up and loved collecting them. Blake can’t believe she is the inspiration for the latest incarnation of the popular toy.

“I loved Barbie as a kid so this is a huge deal for me,” she added.

In Green Lantern, Blake plays the love interest of the green super hero – who is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds.

The movie is set to be released worldwide this summer.
